Roger Wallace is a highly awarded PGA Member and a nationally recognized leader in the golf industry.
Starting in 2024, Roger will transition from his 36-year role in golf operations management at Polson Bay Golf Course to offer his over 40 years of golf coaching experience to both new and established students. Long recognized for inclusive, best-in-class services and programming, Roger looks forward to applying those same principles to golf coaching.
Roger is committed to the fundamentals of Grip, Stance, Posture, and Alignment—any one of those done poorly can result in a series of 'recovery moves' when delivering the clubhead back to the golf ball. Once these fundamentals are understood and mastered, changes in swing mechanics can be a relatively simple process. Roger also believes in the adage that 'Golf Is Not A Game of Perfect'; curving the golf ball is a desired result, as long as that curve isn’t dramatic and is repeatable. Lower scoring, according to Roger, is a result of an improved short game and golf course management, which he considers his specialty.
"Roger’s attention to detail and expertise makes him by far the most observant golf instructor I have worked with. He gives abundantly clear communication and explanations that make it easy to improve your swing and quickly fix problems that arise in all aspects of your game. Beyond his expert instruction he is also very supportive and personable, creating relationships with his students that allows communication that betters both the mental and physical game. I absolutely cannot overstate how understanding and intelligible Roger is as a coach and I would not be where I am without him."

"I started with Roger Wallace when I first took golf seriously. He worked with me on building a proper swing without giving me too much at any one time. He was patient and direct. He taught me how to apply my athleticism to my golf swing, as well as teaching me how to get out of my own way and stay out of my own way. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to work towards having more fun on the golf course."
